From Houston, Texas<\/a>;<\/p>\n

Investigators said the suspect tried to kick down the front door of a home on Anice Street near Ponder Lane around 6:30 p.m. However, the homeowner grabbed his gun and fired at the suspect several times. The suspect ran off and the homeowner called police.<\/p>\n

About an hour later, the suspect was found at a nearby hospital, where officials called the Harris County Sheriff\u2019s Office. Investigators said the suspect was transported by helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center in serious condition.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

From Maysville, Alabama<\/a>;<\/p>\n

Robert Dale Bradshaw, 42, and Derick Deangelo Vaughn, 31, were arrested early Wednesday morning and charged with second-degree theft.<\/p>\n

Deputies were called to a home on Eva Court around 1 a.m. Wednesday after gunshots were heard in the area. The homeowner called while deputies were on the way to the home and said he caught two men hooking a truck to his utility trailer, so he got his gun and shot at the vehicle, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Vaughn ran when the shooting started, according to deputies. Bradshaw was able to drive away from the home but abandoned the vehicle at Maysville Road and Cooper Drive because a tire was shot, deputies said.<\/p>\n

Vaughn was shot under his arm, deputies said. He was treated and released from Huntsville Hospital and then booked back into the jail. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Also from Houston, Texas<\/a>;<\/p>\n

According to the League City Police Department, officers responded to a robbery call around 5:20 p.m at a CVS located in the 1200 block of E. League City Parkway.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival, police say they found a woman was injured by a robbery suspect who fled on foot. <\/p>\n

At 5:30 p.m., police say an officer was checking the immediate area of the robbery when he had an altercation with a man which resulted in a shooting. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

From Gilbert, Arizona<\/a>;<\/p>\n

Gilbert police said 27-year-old E\u2019lon Hayes pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk was armed with a handgun and drew his weapon to defend himself. <\/p>\n

“I was in fear for my life already,” the clerk told police. “The minute he showed the gun I was in fear for my life, I wasn’t sure what I was going to do.”<\/p>\n

Surveillance video from inside the store shows the clerk grab a gun and chase the suspect outside. <\/p>\n

Once outside the store, the suspect allegedly made a threatening gesture toward the clerk, and the clerk fired his weapon at the suspect.<\/p>\n

“I shot him,” the clerk told the dispatcher. “It was behind the store when he started to turn.”<\/p>\n

According to Gilbert police, the clerk won’t be charged in this incident.<\/p>\n

Gilbert police said Hayes was hit by a bullet in his lower right side but was still able to run from the scene. <\/p>\n

In a nearby neighborhood, Hayes flagged officers from inside his car, saying he had been shot. He was transported to the hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n

Police located an airsoft gun in the car. <\/p>\n

He was released from the hospital on December 6 and released from prison in July of this year. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
