West Memphis PD says responded to a shooting call the Sunset Inn on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive at around 6:10 a.m.<\/p>\n

When they arrived, they found a man critically injured from a gunshot wound. He was later pronounced dead on the scene.<\/p>\n

West Memphis PD says officers investigated the scene and interviewed the shooter. According to police, the deceased man robbed the shooter at gunpoint, and a struggled began between them. The robber was shot during the struggle.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Police said the shooting happened in a Walmart parking lot on Winter Chapel Road around 7:45 a.m after being told the suspect had pulled into the store’s lot.<\/p>\n

The individual, who has not been identified at this time, was suspected of robbing a Kroger in Johns Creek with a handgun, police said. According to authorities, a witness followed the suspect to the parking Walmart parking lot.<\/p>\n

During the confrontation, police say that the suspect left their vehicle and was not complying with their commands. It was at this time that an officer fired one shot into the suspect.<\/p>\n

The suspect was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A pimp fatally collapsed after an altercation with a good Samaritan who was trying to help a woman he was assaulting early Saturday morning in northwest Houston, police say. <\/p>\n

According to the Houston Police Department, police responded to what was initially thought to be a hit-and-run around 2:30 a.m. in the 14600 block of Hempstead near Gessner. <\/p>\n

Upon arrival, police say they discovered a woman who was being sex trafficked from Wisconsin. <\/p>\n

The woman told police she was being assaulted by her pimp at a nearby club when she attempted to flee. Hel allegedly continued to pursue and assault her.<\/p>\n

Police say a good Samaritan driving by witnessed the assault and got out his vehicle to help which resulted in some sort of altercation between the two men. The woman told police the pimp threatened to shoot him. <\/p>\n

Police say the good Samaritan fled the scene in fear of his life. Police say the woman tried to jump into the pickup truck, but the the pimp pulled her hair and grabbed her.<\/p>\n

At some point, police say they both lost their grip and hit the ground. <\/p>\n

“According to the reporting witness, the male pimp hits the ground, rises to his feet, stumbles across the roadway and collapses on the shoulder,” said Sergeant R. Klementich with the Houston Police Department. <\/p>\n
