{"id":77099,"date":"2018-01-11T09:51:47","date_gmt":"2018-01-11T14:51:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=77099"},"modified":"2018-01-11T09:51:47","modified_gmt":"2018-01-11T14:51:47","slug":"moriss-taylor-passes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=77099","title":{"rendered":"Moriss Taylor passes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?attachment_id=77100\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-77100\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Moriss_Taylor_1993.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"173\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-77100\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Rob J sends us <a href=\"http:\/\/www.orovillemr.com\/general-news\/20180110\/chico-country-western-star-moriss-taylor-has-died\">the sad news<\/a> that Moriss Taylor, the star of one of the longest-running locally produced television shows in history, has passed at the tender age of 93.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Moriss Taylor Show on KHSL-TV started in 1956, broadcasting until 1997.<\/p>\n<p>Chico radio executive Dino Corbin worked with Taylor in both television and radio from 1972 to 2013, when Taylor retired.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ll remember him for his incredible work ethic, the love of his family, the love of our business \u2014 that of broadcasting and entertainment,\u201d Corbin said Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd he loved to make people smile,\u201d said Corbin, who recalled Taylor\u2019s love of corny jokes. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"500\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Ncp9zzuO89M\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Like most of his generation, Moriss was a veteran, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Moriss_Taylor_Show\">Wiki<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II and received the Distinguished Flying Cross, the second most prestigious medal for valor a person can receive in the air with the Medal of Honor being the most.
