He enlisted in May 1968, he was sent to Vietnam in November 1968 and it looks like he was wounded in December and evacuated to a Naval Hospital in Annapolis, Maryland in January 1969. He awaited orders to be reassigned from January to March and he became a guard at Quantico in April.
