Staehle said that, when he and Moore arrived, they soon realized the man had taken them to a brothel. The third man, Staehle suggested, essentially tricked them. \u201cI could tell you what I saw but I don\u2019t want to,\u201d Staehle said mischievously.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere were certainly pretty girls. And they were girls. They were young. Some were very young,\u201d Staehle acknowledged. But according to Staehle, Moore was shocked by what he saw. \u201cWe shouldn\u2019t be here, I\u2019m leaving,\u201d Moore said, according to Staehle.<\/p>\n
They asked the third man to leave with them but he didn\u2019t want to. So Staehle and Moore took his Jeep and left him there all night with sex workers, who they agreed were underage. The man returned to base the next morning on the back of a motorcycle, Staehle said with a grin.<\/p>\n
Staehle viewed this story as a triumphant example of Moore\u2019s sterling moral character. Although Staehle hasn\u2019t seen Moore in 45 years, he said, \u201cHe\u2019s the same guy\u2026 He\u2019s honorable. He\u2019s disciplined. Morally straight. Highly principled.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
