From West Jordan, Utah<\/a>;<\/p>\n

\u201cAround 2:30 the motion detectors started going off,\u201d the homeowner said. \u201cI looked at the camera and saw a man walking up our driveway and climb into our vehicle.\u201d<\/p>\n

With bear mace in hand, the homeowner charged outside.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe climbed out of the car and started running I chased him for about a block and a half he tried to climb a fence and that’s when I hit him with the first shot of bear mace,\u201d the homeowner said.<\/p>\n

That’s right – the first shot of powerful and potent chemicals meant for an aggressive grizzly.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe actually came at me once when I hit it with the first time and then I hit it with him again,\u201d the homeowner said.<\/p>\n

Twice, then three times.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe tried come at me again and I just emptied the can on him and then he threw his hands in the air and laid on the ground and said I’m done.\u201d The homeowner then walked the criminal back to his porch where his wife was at the doorway on the phone with 911.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis hands were in the air and he said yes sir yes sir and I told dispatch you’re not going to believe what I\u2019m seeing right now because the guy was just in complete compliance with my husband,\u201d the homeowners wife said.<\/p>\n

The criminal stayed put until police got there.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey didn’t say much to me, they pulled guns on him and searched him and put him in handcuffs and he went in the ambulance,\u201d the homeowner said.<\/p>\n

The man who allegedly broke in to their car is John Coopride. He has a long list of criminal history. Police booked him into jail on multiple charges.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was still in my underwear when police were out there with gun point and I was like oh my god I need to go get dressed,\u201d the homeowner said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

From Dawsonville, Georgia<\/a>;<\/p>\n

According to authorities, a deputy gave someone a courtesy ride to a Chevron gas station on Georgia 400. But when the deputy tried to give the person money, that person began striking him in the head and face with a closed fist. Authorities said the suspect also tried to grab the deputy’s gun.<\/p>\n

But then, a woman later described by Sheriff Jeff Johnson as a “good Samaritan,” shot the suspect who ran off into the parking lot of an adjacent McDonald’s restaurant as a result.<\/p>\n

There, he began to assault an elderly woman. Other bystanders from the restaurant subdued the suspect until deputies were able to take him into custody.<\/p>\n

The deputy and the suspect were taken to a local hospital for treatment.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

From San Antonio, Texas<\/a>;<\/p>\n

Police say the homeowner in the 4300 block of Moana on the northeast side heard someone trying to break into her garage.<\/p>\n

She tried yelling them away, but police say when that did not work, she, her son and his girlfriend went to confront the four.<\/p>\n

The homeowner was able to disarm the robber with the gun after the man started making demands. Three of the robbers ran away from the house, leaving one behind in the garage.<\/p>\n

Police say the homeowner, her son and his girlfriend wrestled the suspect to the ground and held him there until officers arrived.<\/p>\n
