On Saturday<\/a>, we talked about Marc Dominguez, the fellow in San Diego who was wearing his uniform improperly when he was confronted by some servicemembers who recognized his improper wear. <\/p>\n

At the time we speculated that he probably wasn’t a veteran given the way he wore everything perfectly wrong, but the Army told NBC 7 San Diego<\/a> that he had indeed served briefly;<\/p>\n

Marc Dominguez, 42, served from February 2003 to August 2004 as a Private First Class E-3, according to military officials.<\/p>\n

On Monday, Pentagon officials confirmed that as an infantryman, Dominguez received the National Defense Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

That name tag goes on the other pocket and his marksman badge goes on the pocket flap. He was a Private First Class, so he knows that rank on the Marine Corps cap is upside down.<\/p>\n
