His records show that he washed out of the Special Forces Qualification Course, he went to Vietnam, served with Headquarters Battery, 11th Artillery in the 101st Airborne Division. When he came back from Vietnam, he went AWOL and the became a deserter. They tossed him in jail in April 1971 and then booted his ass to the street in July;<\/p>\n
