I don\u2019t always agree with the Senator\u2019s public positions or statements. But I have to say I do agree with one of Sen. Graham\u2019s recent public statements.<\/p>\n
As many readers know, Sen. Graham is a military lawyer. And here\u2019s what Sen Graham had to say<\/i><\/a> regarding Uzbek immigrant Sayfullo Saipov \u2013 the terrorist asshole and ISIS admirer who\u00a0spent weeks planning the attack in which he used a rented truck to deliberately run down 20 people<\/i><\/a> in NYC the other day.<\/p>\n \u201cThe last thing that I want this guy to hear tonight is, ‘You have the right to a lawyer.’ The last thing he should hear is his Miranda rights. I\u2019ve been a military lawyer for 33 years. There is enough evidence to believe that he qualifies as an enemy combatant under the law of war.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Yeah, that\u2019s only common sense. But it\u2019s refreshing to hear adult statements like that from the Senator \u2013 or anyone else in Congress, for that matter. It’s just a pity we didn’t hear more statements like that from Members of Congress between Jan 2009 and Jan 2017.<\/p>\n . . .<\/p>\n On the other hand, some \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 libidiot<\/i> hypocritical a-holes<\/del>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 defective clocks are simply never right, regardless. For example, take Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-NY (his party affiliation kinda goes without saying, but in the interest of accuracy I noted it anyway).<\/p>\n
