We first wrote about Joe Cryer more than six years ago<\/a> when he came to our attention. He had claimed to be a Navy SEAL, that he’d been recruited by Navy SEALs while playing video games in an arcade and hand carried past boot camp and BUD\/S straight to a SEAL Team, that he had invaded Libya by himself in 1986 and had killed 77 Libyans single-handed. Of course, that was all BS. Somehow or another, he had convinced a VA doctor that it had resulted in PTSD and he got a 100% rating.<\/p>\n

Actually, Cryer was a sailor on the USS Caron, but I guess he didn’t figure that was enough. After we busted him, the Washington Examiner<\/a> interviewed him and he admitted that he wasn’t a SEAL;<\/p>\n

Cryer, who ran for Ocean City city council in 2006, admitted to The Washington Examiner in an interview late last week that he never was a Navy SEAL, and he made up the story about the 77 kills “as a coping mechanism,” because he was bitter at the Navy.<\/p>\n

He said is relieved to have been exposed.<\/p>\n

“Don Shipley pushed me hard enough to look in the mirror and say, ‘Who are you?’ “<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Somewhere around that time, Cryer called me<\/a> and after he figured out that he couldn’t convince me that he was a SEAL, he decided to threaten me, so I gave him directions to my house, he never showed. He assaulted his ex-wife back in 2002, so I guess he’ll beat women, but he’ll steer clear of men.<\/p>\n

Now, he’s joined the Wittgenfeld\/Bernath cabal of morons. Nothing gives you back your lost credibility like joining a couple of other phonies. He assaulted the Shipleys earlier this year;<\/p>\n

So, last night, since Bernath is in jail and Wittgenfeld has been sanctioned by the courts, Cryer started spamming everyone on Facebook trying to cut into our constituency. I guess he’s jealous that Bernath and Wittgenfeld get to go to court and he doesn’t.<\/p>\n
