First, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2017\/10\/18\/politics\/gold-star-widow-says-she-wished-trump-called-cnntv\/index.html\">they started attacking President Trump<\/a> for not making phone calls to folks who lost loved ones in the war against terror. Trump correctly responded that all Presidents haven&#8217;t made those phone calls. <\/p>\n<p>This is from one of our friends who happens to be a Gold Star mother;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fdenise.williams.7798574%2Fposts%2F1195270343951404&#038;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"270\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowTransparency=\"true\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Next, they started in on a report from Florida Democrat, fashionista and Congressional Representative Frederica Wilson that, for some reason, she had been in the limo when Sergeant LaDavid Johnson&#8217;s widow received a call from the President. Johnson was killed in an ambush in Niger last week, along with three other special forces soldiers. According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/d3bf716591bd49d4a8a86f229efe900f\/Family-of-slain-sergeant-says-Trump-showed-'disrespect'\">Associated Press<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Rep. Frederica Wilson, a Florida Democrat who was in the car with Johnson\u2019s family, said in an interview that Trump had told the widow that \u201cyou know that this could happen when you signed up for it &#8230; but it still hurts.\u201d He also referred to Johnson as \u201cyour guy,\u201d Wilson said, which the congresswoman found insensitive.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>What the president actually said was &#8220;<em>They know the risk, They know what they sign up for but they still volunteer to put their lives on the line for their fellow Americans. We owe them a debt that can never be repaid<\/em>&#8220;. Quite a bit different than the edited quote.<\/p>\n<p>So, to summarize, the Left claims that Trump doesn&#8217;t make phone calls to Gold Star families, except when he calls a widow while a Congressional Representative is in a limo with a widow, and they don&#8217;t like parts of what he says.<\/p>\n<p>For some reason, AP thought it was appropriate in an article about Trump and Gold Star families to put a picture of Obama saluting a fallen soldier at the top of their article;<\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Obama-casket-300x167.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"167\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-75461\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Obama-casket-300x167.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Obama-casket-768x428.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Obama-casket-500x279.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Obama-casket.jpg 811w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>If anyone doesn&#8217;t deserve to be dragged into politics, it&#8217;s Gold Star families.<\/p>\n<p>Like or hate Trump, let&#8217;s focus on policy and leave these folks out of it.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"500\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Ps5ttDzWBaY\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The political Left has decided that they&#8217;ll start attacking the President using Gold Star issues.
