The homeowner chased the intruder out a back door and fired three shots as the burglar ran toward some woods, police said.<\/p>\n<p>The burglar returned fire four or four times from the woods. The homeowner was not injured and police said there was no evidence that the suspect had been shot.<\/p>\n<p>The victim told police an AR-15 rifle he had recently purchased was missing, as was a bag of coins containing about $200.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>From <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cleveland19.com\/story\/36501065\/lorain-homeowner-shoots-burglar\">Lorain, Ohio<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The 32-year-old resident tells police he heard the suspect trying to get into the house and fired his gun.<\/p>\n<p>Lorain police say the 21-year-old male suspect was shot one time in the right thigh. When officers arrived at the scene, they provided first aid to the suspect who was bleeding heavily.<\/p>\n<p>EMS took him to Mercy Hospital and he was then flown to MetroHealth Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>No names are being released at this time and police say the incident remains under investigation.<\/p>\n<p>The homeowner was not injured.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>From <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wcyb.com\/news\/tennessee\/hawkins-county\/church-hill-homeowner-keeps-home-invader-at-bay-with-shotgun\/629520434\">Church Hill, Virginia<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Investigators said that Ward used a propane tank sitting on the homeowner&#8217;s porch to bust out a window and gain entry into the house located on River Road in Church Hill.
