{"id":74900,"date":"2017-09-24T07:00:02","date_gmt":"2017-09-24T11:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=74900"},"modified":"2017-09-23T11:42:14","modified_gmt":"2017-09-23T15:42:14","slug":"sunday-morning-feel-good-stories-125","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=74900","title":{"rendered":"Sunday morning feel good stories"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From <a href=\"http:\/\/callnewspapers.com\/police-report-one-dead-one-injured-shooting\/\">Lemay, Missouri<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A 19-year-old and a 14-year-old attempting to break into a residence in the 300 block of Shadwell Drive, at the Jefferson Townhomes complex south of Jefferson Barracks, were \u201cconfronted by the homeowner and shot,\u201d police said.<\/p>\n<p>Officers from the St. Louis County Police Department\u2019s South County Precinct responded to the 911 call for help at roughly 6:45 a.m. today.<br \/>\nPronounced dead at the scene was Demarcus Boxley, 19, who had been shot at least once. Boxley lived in the 3100 block of Nebraska Avenue in St. Louis, 63118.<br \/>\nSoon after the call off Shadwell was dispatched to officers, South County Precinct officers responded to the 2600 block of Elk Hill for a 14-year-old male who was suffering from at least one gunshot wound whom they first identified as a victim, but later classified as a suspect.<br \/>\nThat suspect ran to that address after being shot in the 300 block of Shadwell. Both addresses are connected to the initial shooting off Shadwell, police said.<\/p>\n<p>The teenager was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>From <a href=\"http:\/\/www.twincities.com\/2017\/09\/22\/during-st-paul-home-invasion-homeowner-fights-off-suspect-with-rifle-and-gun-goes-off\/\">Saint Paul, Minnesota<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p> A 35-year-old woman reported she was washing dishes when a man suddenly appeared in the home\u2019s breezeway and pointed a rifle at her through the doorway, Ernster said.<\/p>\n<p>The woman\u2019s husband heard her scream, ran to her and then saw the intruder. He stepped in front of his wife and said, \u201cWhat do you want?\u201d according to Ernster. The intruder replied, \u201cI want the money \u2014 all of it,\u201d while pointing the gun at them.<\/p>\n<p>The couple told the man he could get money out of a drawer, but he became agitated when he found no cash, Ernster said.<\/p>\n<p>The homeowner then grabbed the rifle and the two fought over it and fell to the ground. The firearm went off twice and one round went into the garage, Ernster said. The homeowner was able to get the rifle from the assailant briefly and struck him in the head with it.<\/p>\n<p>The struggle continued and the intruder tried to get up and run with the rifle, but the homeowner tackled him in the street.
