Turns out we were wrong, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fox5dc.com\/news\/local-news\/not-so-fast-non-us-citizens-in-college-park-will-not-be-allowed-to-vote-after-all\">Fox5DC<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The council voted 4-3 Tuesday night in favor of the amendment that would have allowed legal permanent residents and undocumented immigrants to vote in its municipal elections.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor most Council actions, a simple majority of Councilmembers present must vote in favor of an item for it to be adopted,\u201d the City of College Park said in a news release. \u201cHowever, changes to the Charter have a different requirement.
