From Clinton County, Pennsylvania<\/a>;<\/p>\n

State police are investigating a deadly home invasion in Clinton County.<\/p>\n

Troopers tell Eyewitness News 30-year-old Cody Englert from Jersey Shore tried to break into a house on Fourth Street near Avis early Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n

State police say he was shot and killed by someone who lives at the home. That person is cooperating with the investigation.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

From Dolton, Illinois<\/a>;<\/p>\n

The 20-year-old man with a gun walked into the Advance Auto Parts store in the 800-block of East 147th Street around 8 p.m. and tried to rob the store, police said.<\/p>\n

He ran out of the store and toward a customer, who told police the suspect had a gun. The customer pulled out his own weapon and shot the suspect at least once.<\/p>\n

One of the front doors was shattered during the shooting, covering the ground with shards of glass. A handgun appeared to have fallen on the sidewalk.<\/p>\n

The 20-year-old was transported to St. Bernard Hospital, where he underwent surgery and is listed in critical condition.<\/p>\n

Police said the customer has a concealed-carry permit.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

From Lithonia, Georgia<\/a>;<\/p>\n

Officers say that a 44-year-old man was walking his dog when a white SUV pulled up next to him and two suspects exited the car.<\/p>\n

The would-be robbers toted a handgun and attempted to rob the victim. However, the victim was also carrying a handgun and shot one of the suspects.<\/p>\n

When police arrived to the scene, they found one of the suspects in the roadway, suffering from a gunshot wound. He later succumbed to his injuries and died at Grady Memorial Hospital.<\/p>\n

The second suspect ran from the scene. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

From Selma, Texas<\/a>;<\/p>\n

Selma police believe [Heathcliff] Garcia and another man committed several car burglaries in the area before the shooting. A city official said the pair then crashed their vehicle on the southbound I-35 access road near Forum Parkway, which led them to try to get another.<\/p>\n

Police said the pair tried to steal a car at gunpoint. However, the driver had a license to carry, and shot Garcia.<\/p>\n

The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office had not yet released an official cause or manner for Garcia’s death as of Wednesday afternoon. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Officials say when officers arrived, they found Hall being held at gunpoint by the owner of the home.<\/p>\n

Investigators say the homeowner stated an alarm went off alerting him that his garage was being broken into.<\/p>\n

Police say the homeowner opened the garage and found Hall.<\/p>\n

According to authorities, Hall told police he was trying to steal a drill that was inside the garage.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A man who was jumping rooftops in La Puente, evading police for nearly five hours, was finally stopped when a man who lives in the home he was on top of actually climbed up and threw him off the roof on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
