Bobo sends us a link to the Army Times<\/a> report of Major General Joseph Harrington, the commander of US Army, Africa, who communicated his innermost desires to a subordinate’s wife on the Book of Faces;<\/p>\n

Harrington\u2019s messages escalated from business-like to personal, USA Today reported, from commenting on the woman\u2019s appearance to acknowledging that her husband wouldn\u2019t appreciate their communication.<\/p>\n

At some points, he encouraged her to delete the messages altogether.

The married general could face Uniform Code of Military Justice action for his conduct, though USA Today reported that the relationship never became physical.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The target of his affections shared the messages with USAToday<\/a>;<\/p>\n

The messages, many sent late at night, veer from the mundane to the personal. Harrington oversees the Army\u2019s activities in Africa from a post in northern Italy. In some texts, he complained about travel and getting sick on local food. <\/p>\n

In others, he doted on the woman\u2019s appearance, referring to her as \u201cHOTTIE,\u201d and \u201clooking good for sure.\u201d In another series he wrote: “You seem to have a great modeling resume! Truly! Though I hadn\u2019t noticed! Where is your hubby tonight? Work?\u201d<\/p>\n

When she replied that she\u2019d fought with her husband, and that he was asleep, Harrington responded: \u201cI\u2019m sorry! Make up se\u2026x is fun\u201d<\/p>\n

Harrington suggested \u201cU can be my nurse,\u201d and added, \u201cI\u2019d enjoy being in a tent with U.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
