Joseph McInnis III, 21, and 22-year-old Tyree McCoy didn’t show any smarts when they attempted to rob a bar where some Baltimore, Maryland<\/a> police officers were celebrating a retirement;<\/p>\n

The armed crooks entered the take-out portion of Monaghan\u2019s Pub in Woodlawn on Tuesday night and held up an employee at gunpoint before running off with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said, according to the news outlet.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt that time, the person who had been behind the counter knew that there was a retirement party for a police officer happening, so they went into the other portion and alerted the officers to the fact that they had just been involved in an armed robbery,\u201d Baltimore County Police Officer Jennifer Peach said.<\/p>\n

Off-duty officers at the shindig quickly ran out and took the men into custody.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A suspect is in custody after police said there was an armed robbery attempt Friday afternoon in DeKalb County.<\/p>\n

According to Chamblee Police, the incident happened in the parking lot of the Sam\u2019s Club on Clairmont Road in Chamblee.<\/p>\n

Anderson Police say Williams assaulted a 27-year-old woman two times in two weeks. Both incidents allegedly happened at the woman\u2019s apartment. Police received the initial rape report on August 15, the day after the woman says Williams raped her.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was scared. I was in shock. I thought I’d seen [my] life flash before my eyes,\u201d said Williams\u2019 accuser. In order to protect the accuser\u2019s identity, we are not releasing her name. The woman says she and Williams do not know one another.<\/p>\n

Police say Williams was armed with a gun during the attack. Two weeks later, he allegedly returned to the woman\u2019s apartment, forced his way inside and went after her again.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe proceeded to choke me where I couldn\u2019t breathe, so out of defense I did what I had to do to defend myself,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The woman says she had a pocket knife hidden in her bra. She stabbed Williams several times and then used a hammer to hit him. Detectives say Williams had at least seven wounds to his head and neck.
