<\/a><\/center><\/p>\nStars & Stripes<\/a> reports that North Korea fired a ballistic missile that went over the Japanese mainland this morning prompting President Trump to put his foot down stating that “all options are on the table”;<\/p>\n It was the second launch in three days and sharply escalated tensions as the United States and South Korea wrap up joint war games on the divided peninsula this week.<\/p>\n North Korea has conducted dozens of missile tests, including 13 this year, and officials said the one launched Tuesday broke into three pieces that apparently caused no damage before splashing into the Pacific.<\/p>\n But the symbolism of a North Korean missile soaring over Japan \u2014 a staunch U.S. ally \u2014 for the first time since 2009 was powerful, signaling defiance and progress in the communist state\u2019s efforts to develop a nuclear-tipped missile that could target the U.S. mainland.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n South Korean Air Force responded by dropping bombs on a range near the North Korean border. Japan plans to complain to the UN.
