<\/a><\/center><\/p>\nThe Washington Post<\/a> reports that the Coast Guard Commandant Admiral Paul Zukunft, during an appearance at the Center for Strategic and International Studies on Tuesday, told the group that he would not \u201cbreak faith\u201d with transgender troops under his command;<\/p>\n Zukunft said that following the tweets, he had his office contact the 13 service members in the Coast Guard who identified as transgender, including Lt. Taylor Miller, the branch\u2019s first openly transitioning officer.<\/p>\n \u201cI reached out personally to Lt. Taylor Miller, who was featured on the cover of The Washington Post last week,\u201d Zukunft said. \u201cNow if you read that story, Taylor\u2019s family has disowned her. Her family is the United States Coast Guard. And I told Taylor, \u2018I will not turn my back. We have made an investment in you, and you have made an investment in the Coast Guard, and I will not break faith.\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThat is the commitment to our people right now,\u201d Zukunft said. \u201cVery small numbers, but all of them are doing meaningful Coast Guard work today.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Yeah, I don’t know what he’s saying, but it seems like the Obama appointee is pledging to ignore the orders of his commander-in-chief. I know President Trump likes to fire peoeple especially when they don’t do what they’re told.<\/p>\n
