She successfully fought him off and he was arrested. Then he went in front of a judge;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Emmanuel was charged with robbery and assault, and when the district attorney requested a $250,000 bail, Judge Loren Baily-Schiffman released him on his own recognizance, said the Kings County District Attorney&#8217;s Office.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is a sickening display of carelessness or callousness by a judge who should be fully aware of similarity in the circumstances between this thug&#8217;s crime and the assassination of Police Officer Miosotis Familia,&#8221; said PBA President Pat Lynch.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Officer Familia was murdered on the streets of New York by another unbalanced man just last week.<\/p>\n<p>From the <a href=\"http:\/\/nypost.com\/2017\/07\/10\/judge-releases-mentally-ill-man-who-allegedly-tried-stealing-cops-gun\/\">New York Post<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cProsecutors are taking this case seriously but the judge clearly didn\u2019t,\u201d one source said.<\/p>\n<p>Dennis Quirk, president of the New York State Court Officers Association, declared, \u201cThis idiot should be removed from the bench.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Brooklyn Criminal Court Judge Loren Baily-Schiffman hung up on a Post reporter who contacted her. <\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/2017\/07\/10\/ny-judge-sparks-outrage-after-freeing-alleged-cop-attacker.html\">Fox News<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>It wasn&#8217;t clear why Baily-Schiffman was handling criminal arraignments.<\/p>\n<p>She normally hears lawsuits not criminal matters, according to NYC Office of Court Administration records.<\/p>\n<p>She is now listed as an acting Supreme Court Justice but for many years was on the bench in civil court where legal disputes involving less than $25,000 are heard.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wanted: Assault 2 on a?????that occurred on 7\/8\/17.
