Officer Jeff Neville is in stable condition after surgery when he was stabbed in the neck by a Canadian-born citizen in Flint, Michigan’s Bishop International Airport, according to Fox News<\/a>;<\/p>\n

The FBI says the suspect is in custody and is being questioned. They are working to determine a possible motive for the attack.<\/p>\n

“We are aware of reports that the attacker made statements immediately prior to or while attacking the officer, but it is too early to determine the nature of these alleged statements or whether or not this was an act of terrorism,” the FBI said in a statement.<\/p>\n

This is believed to be an isolated incident, authorities also said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Right wing reactionary network NBC News<\/a> reports that a completely unexpected phrase was uttered by the perp before he stabbed the officer;<\/p>\n

The attacker allegedly shouted “Allahu akbar” before stabbing Lieutenant Jeff Neville, who was bleeding from the neck, sources and witnesses at Bishop International Airport said. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Now, don’t jump to conclusions, I hear all Canadians use that phrase as a greeting.<\/p>\n

In a statement released by the FBI, officials said it is still too early to determine what motivated the attack, but that they were questioning the suspect. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n
