They called their parents as the made another lap around the block, Lohrke said. The boys&#8217; parents \u2014 who could see Palmer outside their window \u2014 developed a plan to open the garage and have the boys drive directly in, Lohrke said.<\/p>\n<p>But after the boys got into the house, Palmer, now clothed, began walking toward their house, Lohrke said. The father went out to confront him in the driveway. <\/p>\n<p>[&#8230;]<\/p>\n<p>According to what witnesses told police, Lohrke said the conversation at that point went something like:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That gun is not even loaded,&#8221; Palmer said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s loaded,&#8221; the homeowner replied.<\/p>\n<p>Palmer then pulled a knife out of his pocket and asked the homeowner, &#8220;Are you going to shoot me now?&#8221; according to Lohrke.<\/p>\n<p>At that point, witnesses have given conflicting stories about whether Palmer threw his knife at the homeowner or dropped it. But it prompted the homeowner to fire twice, hitting Palmer in the jaw and chest, the lieutenant said. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>After police arrived, Palmer tried to get the homeowner&#8217;s gun and got tazed for his trouble.<\/p>\n<p>From <a href=\"http:\/\/wate.com\/2017\/06\/20\/knox-county-homeowner-shoots-at-suspect-during-burglary\/\">Knoxville, Tennessee<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Investigators say Brandon Wang, 26, broke into a house at 1811 Wayland Road around 5 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>The homeowner found the suspect in the hallway and shot at him several times, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect ran out of the house and got into his truck. The homeowner continued to shoot at the suspect, causing Wang to cause damage the garage door.<\/p>\n<p>Officers spotted the suspect on Flint Gap Road. While officers tried to stop the suspect, he sped away.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Mr Wang got tazed, too.<\/p>\n<p>From <a href=\"http:\/\/wkrg.com\/2017\/06\/19\/breaking-shooting-at-sperry-landing-apartments-in-theodore\/\">Theodore Landing, Alabama<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The homeowner came home to two men kicking in his door and shoots one of the would be burglars.<\/p>\n<p>The two left the home and drive to Sperry Landing Apartments where they call police informing them one person has been shot.  MPD responds and they tie the two incidents together.  One person is in custody and the other is at the hospital.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>From <a href=\"http:\/\/www.starbeacon.com\/news\/local_news\/home-invasion-suspect-shot\/article_bc19e18e-c1d2-57c4-bbd9-66c2cf0b3a5c.html\">Conneaut, Ohio<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>At 2:41 a.m., police were dispatched to an address in the 200 block of Woodland Avenue for a home invasion incident that also involved a shooting, according to the statement. Information officers obtained in the initial phone call indicated a suspect had been shot with a .22 caliber handgun before fleeing on foot.<\/p>\n<p>Police arriving at the scene heard someone screaming, and discovered a woman on the ground in the 400 block of Dorman Road. The woman told officers she had suffered a gunshot wound to the small of her back.<\/p>\n<p>The woman is considered a suspect in the home invasion, according to [Conneaut Police Chief Michael Colby]\u2019s statement.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>From <a href=\"http:\/\/thecourier.com\/local-news\/2017\/06\/20\/resident-wounds-break-in-suspect\/\">Houcktown, Ohio<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>At 1:46 a.m., a resident of Hancock County 8 discovered two juveniles in an outbuilding on his property, the sheriff\u2019s office said. The resident then confronted them with a weapon.<\/p>\n<p>During the incident, one of the juveniles was shot. He was transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital with a non-life-threatening injury, the sheriff\u2019s office said. He was treated and released.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>From <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tampabay.com\/news\/publicsafety\/crime\/deputies-id-tampa-robbery-suspect-stabbed-by-store-clerk-wvideo\/2327770\">Tampa, Florida<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Sheriff&#8217;s Office said the surveillance video showed [Daniel Dwayne Eubanks, 44] entering the Sunoco at 14516 N 22nd St. about 5:45 a.m. and demanding a money bag. Then he scuffled with the clerk, knocking over a set of shelves as the fight spilled back out into the store, according to the video, and fighting over a baseball bat.<\/p>\n<p>Eubanks overpowered the clerk and took the bat, deputies said, and was then stabbed by the clerk in the abdomen. They continued to struggle until the clerk ran outside and alerted nearby deputies.
