Metro Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened in northeast Las Vegas Thursday night.<\/p>\n

The shooting occurred shortly before 9 p.m. at The Rubix apartment complex on the 5300 block of East Craig Road, near Nellis Air Force Base.<\/p>\n

Police say a homeowner reported shooting a man who was allegedly trying to break into his home in the area of Craig Road and Aviation Street.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

From Orlando, Florida<\/a>;<\/p>\n

According to investigators, the teen entered the store armed with a rock, used it to break open the counter display and tried to steal several cellphones.<\/p>\n

The manager, who was not identified, tried to stop the teen and after a struggle inside the store, he followed the suspect outside and shot him, deputies said.<\/p>\n

\u201c(The teen was) literally hobbled,\u201d witness Gabrielle Boozier said. \u201cHe couldn\u2019t walk.\u201d<\/p>\n

The teen was somehow able to flee the scene, deputies said.<\/p>\n

As investigators searched for the alleged burglar, they received a call from a woman saying her son had been shot.<\/p>\n

The teen was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, deputies said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

From Victoria, Virginia<\/a>;<\/p>\n

A fatal shooting in a small town leaves a community shaken. A man was found shot to death on Main Street in the town of Victoria, which is in Lunenberg County. Right now, Virginia State Police say no charges have been filed.<\/p>\n
