Turns out he was hiding from them on board the ship, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.navytimes.com\/articles\/surprise-cruiser-shiloh-sailor-presumed-overboard-and-dead-discovered-hiding-on-board\">Navy Times<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The sailor who went missing June 8 and was presumed dead&#8230;had reportedly hid himself in one of the engine rooms, according to two sources familiar with the situation.<\/p>\n<p>It is unclear how Mims survived a week in the engineering space or where he was hiding.
