{"id":72295,"date":"2017-05-25T10:44:04","date_gmt":"2017-05-25T14:44:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=72295"},"modified":"2017-05-25T10:44:04","modified_gmt":"2017-05-25T14:44:04","slug":"uk-police-stop-sharing-manchester-intel-with-us","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=72295","title":{"rendered":"UK Police stop sharing Manchester intel with US"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/uk-politics-40040210\">BBC<\/a>, British law enforcement has ceased sharing intelligence from their Manchester bombing investigation because everything that US intelligence agencies are given ends up leaked to the US media;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>UK officials were outraged when photos appearing to show debris from the attack appeared in the New York Times.<\/p>\n<p>It came after the name of bomber Salman Abedi was leaked to US media just hours after the attack, which left 22 dead.<\/p>\n<p>Theresa May said she would tell Donald Trump at a Nato meeting that shared intelligence &#8220;must remain secure&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The US&#8217;s acting ambassador to the UK &#8220;unequivocally condemned&#8221; the leaks in a BBC radio interview.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;These leaks were reprehensible, deeply distressing,&#8221; Lewis Lukens said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>From <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/uk-news\/2017\/may\/25\/uk-police-stop-passing-information-to-us-over-leaks-of-key-evidence\">The Guardian<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThis is an operational matter for police,\u201d a No 10 spokesman said. The police and the Home Office refused to comment.
