Remember former Rep. Corrine Brown (D-FL)?\u00a0 You know, the “fine lady” who ran for re-election to Congress from a district in the Jacksonville, FL, area last year while under Federal indictment for fraud and other charges (20+ total counts)?<\/p>\n
You should \u2013 she\u2019s been featured in multiple articles here at TAH.\u00a0 But if you need a memory assist, I\u2019ve written about her here<\/a><\/em>; that article links to numerous others about the “fine lady” written by Jonn and TSO.<\/p>\n Well, it seems Ms. Brown is in the news again. And as before, not in a good way.<\/p>\n It appears that well after she lost her try at re-election (she was defeated in the Democratic Primary in late August, 2016), she decided she\u2019d tap campaign funds again \u2013 to the tune of more than $13,000<\/em> \u2013 to pay for things that on the surface certainly appear to be highly questionable if not outright illicit campaign expenses.\u00a0 This Washington Free Beacon article<\/a><\/em> has details.<\/p>\n Frankly, I don’t see any issue.\u00a0 That $11,000+ in \u201clodging expenses\u201d at a DC-area Marriott in late September seems to be a totally legitimate expense to pay from re-election campaign funds.\u00a0 So what if it was weeks after she lost her bid for reelection – and occurred nowhere near her former Congressional district?\u00a0 Ditto that $2,000+ in \u201cpetty cash\u201d withdrawn from those same campaign funds during a period of roughly 2 1\/2 weeks starting in mid-October.\u00a0 What’s the problem?\u00a0 (I do hope the sarcasm in this paragraph is obvious.)<\/p>\n Criminy. \u00a0She was already under indictment, and it certainly looks like she went out and did more of the same. \u00a0Is she really that freaking stupid?<\/p>\n Don\u2019t bother answering.\u00a0 I think we already know the answer.<\/p>\n To repeat a question I asked in a previous article:\u00a0 I wonder how she looks in an orange jumpsuit?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
