Seems that Bill Nye, the anti-freedom propagandist who originally made his name popularizing science, is propagandizing on a wider range of subjects these days.\u00a0 And he’s catching some well-deserved heat for his most recent public position as a result.<\/p>\n

Nye\u2019s already shown his true colors by coming out in favor of jailing \u201cclimate deniers\u201d<\/a><\/em> \u2013 a rather odd and, frankly, hypocritical position for someone who makes his living courtesy of the First Amendment IMO.\u00a0 His newest position only further confirms his anti-freedom\/pro-authoritarian bias.<\/p>\n

In a panel discussion on his new Netflix show, Nye recently seemed to come out quite clearly in favor of penalizing people who choose to have \u201cextra\u201d children<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n

Yeah, you read that correctly.\u00a0 Nye apparently is in favor of government-imposed limits on family size.<\/p>\n

Perhaps someone should remind the dipstick that this isn\u2019t a new idea.\u00a0 Communist China already tried it.<\/p>\n

It was called their \u201cone-child policy\u201d<\/a><\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0 It was virtually universally considered an egregious and unconscionable violation of human rights.\u00a0 China formally ended the policy in 2015.<\/p>\n

Any government policy that results in compulsory family planning and coerced sterilizations – as did China’s implementation of its “one-child policy” – is simply not something I find acceptable.\u00a0 As far as I\u2019m concerned, Bill Nye can go straight to hell.<\/p>\n

And no, Nye:\u00a0 history quite clearly shows it won’t<\/span> be “done right this time around”.\u00a0 Dictatorship never is.<\/p>\n

Freedom may be messy and difficult.\u00a0 But life as a free citizen is infinitely preferable to life as a serf \u2013 who is told by their lord and master what he or she can and cannot do and say.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
