{"id":71709,"date":"2017-04-27T07:00:26","date_gmt":"2017-04-27T11:00:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=71709"},"modified":"2017-04-26T13:41:45","modified_gmt":"2017-04-26T17:41:45","slug":"thursday-morning-feel-good-stories-113","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=71709","title":{"rendered":"Thursday morning feel good stories"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wyff4.com\/article\/suspects-in-home-invasion-shot-by-victim-deputies-say\/9565154\">Spartanburg County, South Carolina<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>At 5 p.m. Monday, deputies said several people came to the sheriff\u2019s office to report a home invasion that had happened on Sprouse Road in Spartanburg. <\/p>\n<p>One of the victims told investigators that a man and woman, later identified as Phillips and Matheny assaulted him outside the home, and then forced him inside while holding a gun to his head. <\/p>\n<p>Once inside, that victim said he knocked a gun out of one of the suspects\u2019 hands, and while they all were trying to get the gun, the victim yelled to his brother upstairs.<\/p>\n<p>The victim told investigators his brother came downstairs and shot at Phillips and Matheny, who left the home. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Destinie Nichole Matheny and Calvin Lee Phillips were already at the hospital being treated for their wounds. They are charged with armed robbery, first-degree assault and battery and first-degree burglary, kidnapping and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.<\/p>\n<p>From <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jdnews.com\/news\/20170426\/details-released-in-fatal-home-invasion\">Jacksonville, North Carolina<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Officers responding found Stacey Kendell Ross, Jr., 20 of Jacksonville, had been shot and was laying in the parking area of the complex. <\/p>\n<p>The investigation revealed that there were five subjects involved in an attempted home invasion\/robbery. The preliminary investigation indicates that the suspects were engaged in a possible robbery and that during the robbery, Mr. Ross suffered multiple gunshot wounds. A firearm was recovered at the scene. Ross was transported to Onslow Memorial Hospital, where he died of his injuries. <\/p>\n<p>During the night, investigators located all the suspects of the robbery. All four were taken into custody without incident.
