Yesterday, we talked about<\/a> Jack Junior Otterwalder when he was arrested for possessing an incorrect DD 214 record of his discharge. Today, he’s saying<\/a> that he’s being framed.<\/p>\n

A fake certificate of release or discharge from active duty, commonly known as a DD Form 214, was found with Ottenwalder\u2019s personal information on it in January, the Lee County Sheriff\u2019s Office said. The certificate exaggerated dates, duty stations, training and awards, according to the sheriff\u2019s office.<\/p>\n

But Otterwalder says he has a copy of the form that shows otherwise.<\/p>\n

Ottenwalder has a veteran designation on his driver\u2019s license. He claims he submitted a DD Form 214 to the Department of Motor Vehicles for that designation because he was told he could do so.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey said I could do it, so I gave it to them,\u201d Ottenwalder said. \u201cI figured if anything was wrong, they\u2019d look at it and say, \u2018No, this ain\u2019t going to fly\u2019 and no, it\u2019s turned into something bigger and bigger and bigger.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
