<\/a><\/center><\/p>\nAccording to ABC News<\/a> a known terrorist tried to grab a rifle from a female soldier who was on duty there. The jihadist was shot and killed by the other two soldiers who were with her;<\/p>\n “This morning at 8:30 at Orly Airport, an individual tried to attack French soldiers in order to take the weapon of one of the soldiers — he was not able to do it and was shot and killed by soldiers,” Minister of the Interior Bruno Le Roux said early Saturday. <\/p>\n France’s Minister of Defense, Jean-Yves Le Drian, said, the suspect attacked three soldiers patrolling the airport. He tried to take the weapon of one of the soliders [sic], a woman. <\/p>\n “She was able to hold to her weapon. Two other soldiers shot at [the] individual to protect her. I congratulate them,” Le Drian said. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n Iniially, French officials claimed that they didn’t know the guy, but an update to the first story<\/a> says that the fellow who was killed has been on French government’s radar since the 2015 attacks in Paris;<\/p>\n The Paris prosecutors’ office says the 39-year-old suspected attacker who was shot and killed at Orly Airport had already crossed authorities’ radar for suspected Islamic extremism.<\/p>\n Prosecutors say Saturday that the suspect’s house was among scores searched in November 2015 in the immediate aftermath of suicide bomb-and-gun attacks that killed 130 people in Paris. Those searches targeted people with suspected radical leanings.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n So apparently, the government knowing who the bad guys are doesn’t keep us regular folks safe. We have to do that part of the war against terrorists ourselves.<\/p>\n
