The masked man apparently entered later, without being seen by the couple. The would-be robbers were reportedly armed, and overpowered the couple, and tied them up. The couple was slightly injured in the process.<\/p>\n

Later, after the suspects were unable to get into the safe, the male homeowner convinced them to loosen him, so he could help them open it. He was able to find an opportunity to get his gun, and fire the fatal shots.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In Las Vegas, Nevada<\/a>, a similar scenario;<\/p>\n

Police said two suspects entered the home and tied up a man and woman. The man was able to break free and grab a gun, shooting the suspects.<\/p>\n

One of the suspects was found dead inside the home and another suffered gunshot wounds to the lower back, police said. The second suspect, identified by KSNV as 21-year-old Arnold Morales, was being treated at University Medical Center for a gunshot wound.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Killeen Police said four people tried to force their way into a house in the 200 block of Mary Jane Street at 11:20 p.m. Tuesday. Hearing loud banging and shattering glass, the resident inside grabbed a gun and fired multiple shots toward the door — hitting one of the suspects and causing them all to run away.<\/p>\n

Investigators later found the suspects. The one who was wounded is hospitalized in critical but stable condition, police said. The other three were arrested and taken to the Killeen City Jail, pending charges. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n
