In Riverdale, Georgia<\/a>;<\/p>\n

About 10:45 a.m., officers responded to a location on Birch Circle, spokeswoman Nicole Rabel said.<\/p>\n

The homeowner was inside at the time of the attempted break-in and shot the intruder, Rabel said. The man was taken to a hospital in critical condition.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In Memphis, Tennessee<\/a>;<\/p>\n

When police arrived at this house, a man told officers he was asleep when he heard his girlfriend yelling that someone was in their home.<\/p>\n

The man said he ran into the front of the house and found the suspect screaming and putting his hands near his jacket. The homeowner told police that he shot the suspect.<\/p>\n

Another person in the home then hit the suspect in the head with his gun to stop him from leaving.<\/p>\n

Police said the suspect ran from the house and was found nearby attempting to break into another house on the street.<\/p>\n

Emmanuel Lane, 28, was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary and attempted aggravated burglary. Lane was treated at the Regional Medical Center for his gunshot wound and other non-critical injuries.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

From Indianapolis, Indiana<\/a>;<\/p>\n

The clerk told police that the suspect had attempted to rob the gas station when he fired at him.<\/p>\n

Levi Walker, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene. <\/p>\n

Police say they will be looking at surveillance video to determine if the clerk acted in self-defense. A spokesperson for IMPD says a gun was found on the suspect.<\/p>\n

The clerk was not injured in the shooting. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

From Houston, Texas<\/a>;<\/p>\n

Surveillance video showed that the suspect came up from behind the security guard and attempted to take his gun and a struggle ensued.<\/p>\n

The struggle carried the two men outside the front entrance of the gas station into the parking lot.<\/p>\n

Then the employee went to aid the security guard and struck the suspect in the head with a stick.<\/p>\n

That is when the suspect tried to run and the guard shot the suspect in the leg.<\/p>\n

Police are searching the nearby neighborhood for the suspect. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In Arlington, Texas<\/a>;<\/p>\n

A convenience store clerk in Arlington fatally shot a man who was reportedly trying to rob the store Monday night.<\/p>\n

The shooting happened about 7:45 p.m. at the Super Save store in the 2500 block of E. Abram Street near Texas 360, said Lt. Chris Cook, police spokesman.<\/p>\n

The clerk told police that two people entered the store and that one pulled out a gun.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe believed they were there to rob him,\u201d Cook said.<\/p>\n
