A barber in South Omaha, Nebraska is grateful he was carrying his gun after a man with a shotgun attempted to rob him.<\/p>\n

Jesse Galvan and his brother were cutting hair on Saturday afternoon with a line of people waiting to have their hair cut. That\u2019s when a man entered Fadekings Barbershop around 9:45am, according to KETV.<\/p>\n

The armed robber came in while Galvan and his brother were taking care of patrons, tossed a backpack on the floor and demanded that they all empty their pockets.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was so fast, so, so fast,\u201d Said Galvan\u2019s brother, David. \u201cWhen he cocked the thing in my face to me and my customer, that\u2019s when I know he wasn\u2019t playing, I kind of looked at my brother and I threw my wallet on the floor, and then my brother knew what to do next.\u201d<\/p>\n

Unlike a lot of people who don\u2019t think through such scenarios, the Galvans had a plan for just such incidents.<\/p>\n

\u201cMe and my brother already had a game plan for robberies, because they\u2019ve been robbing all this street right here,\u201d David said.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I told him, put the gun down, gun down, and I was pointing my gun at him, and he just shot at me,\u201d Jesse said, claiming the bullets fired at him missed him by almost an arms length and slammed into the mirror over his head.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf he had regular ammunition, like pellets, it would\u2019ve hit my customer, it would\u2019ve hit me,\u201d Jesse said.<\/p>\n

He then fired back multiple times with the gun he keeps strapped to his body while working, hitting Lucas M. Ortiz, 23. Ortiz then crawled out the back door and was later found by police on the sidewalk outside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Nebraska Medicine, but not updates were given on his condition.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

From Barre, Vermont<\/a>;<\/p>\n

Police say Kenneth Pecor was able to get inside a home on Little John Road Sunday morning. He allegedly demanded cash and a car while pointing a rifle at two of the residents.<\/p>\n

But after a struggle, the homeowner was able to fight back.<\/p>\n

“He was able to take and use a tomahawk, and defend himself against the male and was able to grab the rifle and had the male subdued waiting for the police when he got there,” said Chief Michael Stevens, Barre Town Police Department.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
