The jogger, who was also armed, resisted, pulled his weapon and fired several times. Bullets hit the suspect in the groin area. The injured suspect ran back to the truck and quickly left the scene.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>From <a href=\"http:\/\/www.desmoinesregister.com\/story\/news\/crime-and-courts\/2017\/02\/21\/police-man-shot-chest-while-robbing-apartment\/98199442\/\">Des Moines, Iowa<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The witnesses then told police that they believed two men, including the shooting victim, had tried to rob an apartment resident.<\/p>\n<p>That man reportedly chased one of the assailants out of his home, but found the second man inside the apartment when he returned.
