I think the woman could justifiably sue his ass for monthly compensation from his retirement pay. \u00a0If you whack these jerks in the pocket, it&#8217;s much worse than just losing a couple of stars. The perp has to explain things to people who thought he was going to get a fat retirement check, and then there&#8217;s that whole thing about those jobs with government contractors. \u00a0They&#8217;re REALLY hinky about hiring someone whose reputation for being an asshole precedes him.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s some info\u00a0regarding sexual harassment on the job, for the uninformed:<\/p>\n<p>Sexual harassment is a form of sex discrimination that violates <a class=\"CP___PAGEID_3687\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eeoc.gov\/laws\/statutes\/titlevii.cfm\">Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964<\/a>. Title VII applies to employers with 15 or more employees, including state and local governments. It also applies to employment agencies and to labor organizations, as well as to the federal government. Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature constitute sexual harassment when this conduct explicitly or implicitly affects an individual&#8217;s employment, unreasonably interferes with an individual&#8217;s work performance, or creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive work environment.<\/p>\n<p>Sexual harassment can occur in a variety of circumstances, including but not limited to the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The victim as well as the harasser may be a woman or a man. The victim does not have to be of the opposite sex.<\/li>\n<li>The harasser can be the victim&#8217;s supervisor, an agent of the employer, a supervisor in another area, a co-worker, or a non-employee.<\/li>\n<li>The victim does not have to be the person harassed but could be anyone affected by the offensive conduct.<\/li>\n<li>Unlawful sexual harassment may occur without economic injury to or discharge of the victim.<\/li>\n<li>The harasser&#8217;s conduct must be unwelcome.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is helpful for the victim to inform the harasser directly that the conduct is unwelcome and must stop. The victim should use any employer complaint mechanism or grievance system available.<\/p>\n<p>In case you&#8217;re quibbling about &#8216;well, it&#8217;s military, not civilian&#8217;, the term &#8216;federal government&#8217; should include military if it hasn&#8217;t before.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, the woman in question did have legal help available if she had used her head. As I understand it, Dave Hardin just took the door off his cubbyhole so that the Master Sergeant couldn&#8217;t shut it any more.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thanks to Devtun for the heads up on this one.
