A woman in St Joseph, Missouri<\/a>, defended her home and family;<\/p>\n

Sgt. Byrom with the St. Joseph Police Department said a woman called shortly after 7 a.m. Saturday to report the attempted burglary. She told police that she shot her personal firearm at an individual she believed was trying to break into her home. <\/p>\n

The woman was unsure if the bullet struck the individual, but said the person fled immediately after the shot was fired.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In Orlando, Florida<\/a>, stealing diapers is a capital offense;<\/p>\n

A Walmart customer who stepped in to help an employee stop shoplifters from fleeing the store ended up shooting and killing one of the individuals, deputies said.<\/p>\n

The gunman told investigators he fired because he thought one of the shoplifters was reaching for a weapon.<\/p>\n

The shooting was reported at about 8 a.m. Saturday at the Walmart in the 5500 block of Clarcona Ocoee Road, deputies said .<\/p>\n

The 19-year-old, who was hit multiple times, shooting victim was not immediately identified.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
