I’m sure most of my readership missed Meryl Streep’s shots at the President-elect last night during her acceptance of the Cecil B deMille lifetime achievement award at the Golden Globes. She used the opportunity to politicize the event. Entertainment Tonight<\/a> calls her speech “powerful”.<\/p>\n

Streep noted that “Hollywood” is a reviled place. But she said that it’s really a community filled with people from other places united in the mission to show different people and make audiences feel what they feel.<\/p>\n

“Hollywood is crawling with outsiders and foreigners, and if we kick them all out, you’ll have nothing to watch but football and mixed martial arts, which are not the arts,” she said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Of course, no one heard her make that pronouncement, because no one watches these Hollywood Lemon Parties anymore. We fully expect the dinosaurs like Streep to be Democrat sock puppets. <\/p>\n

In fact, while she was stroking the Democrats, Hillary got three standing ovations <\/a>on Broadway last night just showing up at a play. She wasn’t acting in it, she was just in the audience. <\/p>\n

Clinton\u2019s appearance at the play was met with celebration, in contrast to the reaction Vice President-elect Mike Pence received when he went to see \u201cHamilton\u201d in November, a week after he and President-elect Donald Trump won the election.<\/p>\n

During Sunday\u2019s show, many cheered and angled to get a glimpse of the former presidential candidate.<\/p>\n

Audience member Jordan Serpone, who shook Clinton\u2019s hand at the show, told the New York Times that seeing her was an emotional experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was having every emotion I\u2019ve tried to get rid of over the past few weeks,\u201d he said. \u201cShe shouldn\u2019t be here. She should be planning her Cabinet.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I wonder if any of them care that the rest of America are embarrassed by this behavior. This is the reason the Democrats lost the election across the board in November. They’re out of touch with most of America.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
