{"id":69724,"date":"2017-01-08T16:43:49","date_gmt":"2017-01-08T21:43:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=69724"},"modified":"2017-01-08T16:44:06","modified_gmt":"2017-01-08T21:44:06","slug":"more-liberal-media-misinformation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=69724","title":{"rendered":"More liberal media misinformation&#8230;."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over at American Thinker, editor, Thomas Lifson, reports on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.americanthinker.com\/blog\/2017\/01\/cbs_radio_report_created_the_impression_chicago_torture_victim_was_a_black_man_assaulted_by_white_trump_supporters.html\">a very misleading report by CBS R<\/a>adio about the recent racial attack in Chicago by four black \u201cyutes\u201d on a mentally disabled, young white man:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>In the brief Thursday morning report\u2013 which attracted attention when a listener <a href=\"https:\/\/clyp.it\/slitsuox\">posted the clip on Reddit<\/a> Friday\u2013 here\u2019s how CBS characterized the attack:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The viral video of a beating and knife attack in Chicago suggests the assault had racial overtones. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/team\/dean-reynolds\/\">CBS\u2019s Dean Reynolds<\/a> tells us the victim is described as a mentally-challenged teenager.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In the video he is choked and repeatedly called the n-word.<\/strong> His clothes are slashed and he is terrorized with a knife. <strong>His alleged captors repeatedly reference Donald Trump.<\/strong> Police are holding four people in connection with the attack. [Emphasis added by Mediaite]<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><em>The report is technically correct, but widely misleading. By noting the attackers used the n-word during a racially-motivated attack while \u201creferencing\u201d Donald Trump, the clear implication is that the victim was black and his attackers were racist Trump fans<\/em>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Now we have some fairly sharp readers here at TAH, folks at accomplished at separating truth from fiction, the purpose of the site in fact, and yet I\u2019ll wager that almost every one of you who heard nothing more than this report:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>In the video he is choked and repeatedly called the n-word.<\/strong> His clothes are slashed and he is terrorized with a knife.<strong> His alleged captors repeatedly reference Donald Trump.<\/strong> Police are holding four people in connection with the attack. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Would be fairly sure that the victim was black and the yutes were white, right?
