Dear President-Elect Trump:<\/p>\n
In a few days, you will become the most powerful human on the planet, the President of the United States of America, the Commander in Chief of our Armed Forces and the uncontested leader of the free world.\u00a0 Whether I like it or not, just as your predecessor was, you will be my President.\u00a0 I do not believe I have to remind you of the world chaos resulting from the recent years\u2019 lack of American leadership.\u00a0 That may sound biased coming from the mouth of an American, but facts speak for themselves.\u00a0 You are charged with the safety of Americans \u2013 all of us even the stupid ones – not only at home, but around the world.\u00a0 There is an old military adage that says an army of sheep led by a lion is better than an army of lions led by a sheep.\u00a0 Be the lion you promised to be.<\/p>\n
You were bold and bombastic in your challenge to the status quo or rather quid pro quo that exists between America\u2019s corporate world and Washington\u2019s political establishment.\u00a0 I admit my concerns as through your life you have been quite the successful player in that world.\u00a0 The real world exists outside that bubble.\u00a0 The real world elected you.\u00a0 Your challenges to the media are certainly long past due, but kicked dogs do bark the loudest and some bite but, do not let lies or fake news as they call it now go unchallenged.<\/p>\n
You, \u201cthe\u201d deal maker, have promised us big league or is it bigly?\u00a0 Not sure if anyone has figured that out yet.\u00a0 You promised to make us great again.\u00a0 We are already great but sorely lacking America centered leadership.\u00a0 That is why ideology prevalent in our own land including inside our Whitehouse believe we need to be taken down a peg or two \u2013 that we need, on a world scale, to level the socialist playing field.\u00a0 It is an expression used ad nauseum<\/em> during the past decade.\u00a0 We do not need to level a doggoned thing. You cannot build prosperity by bringing everyone down. \u00a0Instead, we need to pull everyone up.\u00a0 Everyone is potential winner waiting for arrival of good leadership.\u00a0 General George Patton correctly assessed \u201cAmericans love a winner and will not tolerate a loser. \u00a0Americans play to win all the time. \u2026 The very thought of losing is hateful to Americans.\u201d\u00a0<\/em> No one remembers who lost the Super Bowl.\u00a0 So do not worry Mr. President.\u00a0 If you deliver as promised, Americans will never tire of winning and our friends around the world will never tire of it either.<\/p>\n You put terrorism, defense, immigration and border security, trade, medical care, education, the courts, energy, tax reform, jobs and economy onto your plate along with some things I probably failed to mention.\u00a0 Most assuredly all of that is broken, but that is a big plate brother.\u00a0 A promise to make America great again by fixing those issues is what got you elected.\u00a0 Those are your deliverables, your personal contract with Americans.\u00a0 You have to deliver big or bigly or big league.\u00a0 Just remember what General Patton said, Americans will not tolerate a loser.\u00a0 Ask the Democrats.<\/p>\n You are unquestionably a successful man albeit one who badly needs a haircut.\u00a0 I am sure you faced great challenges before, but in none of them were you solely responsible for the safety and security of a nation.\u00a0 On January 20, 2017 when you walk into the Oval Office as \u201cthe man\u201d, I am certain the enormity of that will hit you like a ton of steel. I am also quite sure that you do not need any business or leadership tips from me, but that never stopped me before.<\/p>\n You can\u2019t fix something that happened hundreds of years ago, a few years ago, or even a few days ago.\u00a0 What happened is written into the books.\u00a0 You cannot plead ignorance of it or pretend it did not happen, but you cannot fix it.\u00a0 You can\u2019t fix yesterday any more than you can predict tomorrow or ten minutes from now for that matter.\u00a0 Do not refight yesterday\u2019s battles.\u00a0 That is where some would like to keep you focused.\u00a0 They are losers and hope to make you one also.\u00a0 So leave them behind and do not spend valuable time focused on the past.\u00a0 Focus on getting it right today and going forward every day.\u00a0 Or in language you may prefer.\u00a0 Win.\u00a0 Start fresh.\u00a0 Aim to win every day.\u00a0 Do that and America wins every day and just maybe we will get to see again what winning and greatness look like.<\/p>\n Now listen,\u00a0you who say, \u201cToday or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow.
