{"id":69640,"date":"2017-01-02T09:44:20","date_gmt":"2017-01-02T14:44:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=69640"},"modified":"2017-01-02T09:44:20","modified_gmt":"2017-01-02T14:44:20","slug":"north-korea-plans-icbm-capability","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=69640","title":{"rendered":"North Korea plans ICBM capability"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-northkorea-missiles-idUSKBN14M0PW?feedType=RSS&#038;feedName=topNews\">Reuters<\/a> reports that North Korea has been making advancements in their intercontinental ballistic missile capabilities that finally make them a credible threat to the Untied States;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>North Korea&#8217;s state media regularly threatens the United States with a nuclear strike, but before 2016 Pyongyang had been assumed to be a long way from being capable of doing so. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The bottom line is Pyongyang is much further along in their missile development than most people realize,&#8221; said Melissa Hanham, a senior research associate at the U.S.-based Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, California.<\/p>\n<p>She said the North&#8217;s test in April of a large liquid-fuel engine that could propel an ICBM was a major development.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The liquid engine test was astounding,&#8221; Hanham said. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For years, we knew that North Korea had a Soviet R-27 missile engine design. They re-engineered the design of that engine to double its propulsion&#8221;.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So that&#8217;s another big accomplishment for the Obama Administration.
