{"id":68970,"date":"2016-11-16T09:33:10","date_gmt":"2016-11-16T14:33:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=68970"},"modified":"2016-11-16T09:35:30","modified_gmt":"2016-11-16T14:35:30","slug":"miller-eyed-for-va-chief","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=68970","title":{"rendered":"Miller eyed for VA chief"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2016\/11\/16\/us\/donald-trump-veterans-affairs-leader.html?_r=2\">New York Times<\/a> reports that Florida Representative Jeff Miller, the biggest critic of the Veterans&#8217; Affairs Department, is being considered by the Trump Administration to be the Secretary of the agency.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cInstead of trying to sugarcoat the problems at the Department of Veterans Affairs,\u201d the statement [from Mr Miller] said, \u201c[Trump] has a plan to fix them that includes common-sense solutions such as protections for V.A. whistle-blowers, accountability for bad employees and providing veterans with more health care options.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In an interview on Friday with Fox News, Mr. Miller said the agency \u2014 the second largest in the federal government, with nearly 350,000 employees \u2014 was \u201cmired in a bureaucracy that just doesn\u2019t want to move in the right direction.\u201d He added, \u201cYou can\u2019t have a World Series-winning team if you are not willing to get rid of those who can\u2019t or won\u2019t play their positions.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>As broke dick as the VA seems to be, they need a real critic to fix them. Miller has been consistent in his opposition to their system of promoting and protecting the problem children in the upper echelons of the agency.
