{"id":68790,"date":"2016-11-05T11:26:44","date_gmt":"2016-11-05T15:26:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=68790"},"modified":"2016-11-05T13:55:35","modified_gmt":"2016-11-05T17:55:35","slug":"manning-fails-at-2d-suicide-attempt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=68790","title":{"rendered":"Manning fails at 2d suicide attempt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?attachment_id=35300\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-35300\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/manning-tears.jpg\" alt=\"manning tears\" width=\"500\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-35300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newser.com\/article\/eae105be7d9c46529f86be339453ca19\/attorney-chelsea-manning-again-attempts-suicide-in-prison.html\">Associated Press<\/a> reports that Bradley Manning made another failed attempt at suicide while he was in solitary confinement.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;After her July suicide attempt, I watched her begin to piece her life and spirit back together only to have that shattered by the disciplinary proceedings brought against her and then the unannounced initiation of her term of punishment last month,&#8221; [Manning attorney Chase] Strangio wrote. &#8220;She has repeatedly been punished for trying to survive and now is being repeatedly punished for trying to die.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Strangio added he worries about Manning&#8217;s &#8220;ability to keep fighting under these relentless abuses.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So, I guess we should release the fellow despite his heinous crime. Or maybe we should put him to death like they should have done the first time around for his treachery. <\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2016\/11\/05\/us\/chelsea-manning-tried-committing-suicide-a-second-time-in-october.html?_r=0\">New York Times<\/a> recounts Manning&#8217;s strange statement about a prison riot that never happened;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>On the night of Oct. 10, according to her statement, four people impersonating guards conducted an hourslong attack on the prison, during which she said she heard sounds indicating that the attackers were shooting and torturing her cellblock\u2019s actual guards.<\/p>\n<p>These attackers tried to induce Ms. Manning to escape, she said in her statement.
