Well, it seems I\u2019ve been “exposed”.\u00a0 Yet again.<\/p>\n
It seems the DRC, or perhaps a member thereof, thinks they know who I am.\u00a0 Yet again.<\/p>\n
This time, a little birdie told me that they\u2019ve “determined” I\u2019m a First Sergeant.\u00a0 And they\u2019ve also “determined” that I\u2019m assigned to an Army Engineer unit.<\/p>\n
Hmm.\u00a0 That\u2019s odd.\u00a0 I don\u2019t remember getting those assignment orders.\u00a0 I think I\u2019d remember something like that.<\/p>\n
I also don’t remember getting orders appointing me to be a First Sergeant in any Engineer unit.\u00a0 I think I’d remember that, too.<\/p>\n
And I distinctly remember getting retirement orders some time back.\u00a0 (Looks at file copy.)\u00a0 Yeah, there they are.\u00a0 Maybe I should check my ID card to be sure.<\/p>\n
(Looks at Retired ID card).\u00a0 Yep, ID card confirms it \u2013 I\u2019m retired.\u00a0 Hmm.\u00a0 So, how in the world did I get assigned to an Engineer unit as a First Sergeant?<\/p>\n
Gee, ya don\u2019t suppose those\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Well, yeah:\u00a0 they did.\u00a0 For at least the 14th time<\/em>, they\u2019ve had a collective brain fart and misidentified another individual as being me.<\/p>\n Wait, scratch that. They’d actually have to have a functional brain to have a brain fart. Not sure they qualify on that score – even in aggregate.<\/p>\n For the record: I’m not assigned to any Engineer unit; I’m a retiree. I don\u2019t know this guy they’ve identified as being me – hell, I’ve never met him.\u00a0 (I\u2019m not going to name him here; he doesn\u2019t need the grief.)\u00a0 And I don\u2019t live anywhere near his unit’s HQ, either.<\/p>\n But nonetheless, the DRC claims that\u2019s who I am.\u00a0 And considering their track record here . . . I\u2019m not surprised.<\/p>\n Those fools couldn\u2019t find their own butts with written instructions, both hands, two full-length mirrors, and a helper. It figures they’d screw up “finding” me one more time.<\/p>\n . . .<\/strong><\/p>\n OK, obligatory recap.\u00a0 This is at least the 14th time<\/u> the DRC has Fornicated Fido and identified some individual as being me.\u00a0 I’m pretty sure I’ve missed one or two of their bogus IDs along the way, so the real total is probably higher.<\/p>\n They’ve been wrong every freaking time<\/b><\/i>.\u00a0 And they show no sign of getting any better with practice.<\/p>\n For anyone interested, this article<\/em><\/a> gives a brief description of their last erroneous ID.\u00a0 This second article<\/em><\/a> gives additional details concerning their other dozen “goofs”.<\/p>\n I swear, I think I’m going to have to post them step-by-step instructions.\u00a0 That’s probably the only way they’ll ever be successful at finding Hondo.<\/p>\n But I think I’ve figured out something else about whoever’s doing this:\u00a0 this song absolutely must be a favorite of theirs.\u00a0 Kinda descriptive of their obsessive mind-set, IMO. \u00a0 (smile)\u00a0 (Warning:\u00a0 lyrics around 2:15 and 5:43 may be\u00a0 briefly NSFW\/around prudes, children, or clergy due to language.)<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\nmorons<\/del>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 fellows got things wrong yet again<\/u>, do you?<\/p>\n
