{"id":68630,"date":"2016-10-27T09:16:25","date_gmt":"2016-10-27T13:16:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=68630"},"modified":"2016-10-27T09:16:54","modified_gmt":"2016-10-27T13:16:54","slug":"tricare-cost-saving","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=68630","title":{"rendered":"Tricare cost-saving"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Army active-Reservist Captain Shane Morgan, an Afghanistan veteran, felt funny while he was taking his PT test last year, so he went to the doctor to check it out, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/boston.cbslocal.com\/2016\/10\/19\/army-heart-attack-medical-bills-shane-morgan\/\">CBS News<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cAs we were doing the push-ups I got 15 in, and I noticed that it was a lot harder for me to do push-ups than it has ever been,\u201d Shane said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo he hooked me up to the EKG and said \u2018I\u2019m 99.9 percent certain you\u2019re having a heart attack.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One artery was completely blocked, but there was another problem, the Army determined the heart attack did not happen in the line of duty, so its been withholding medical payments.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been jerking around with Tricare myself lately. They get real picky &#8211; a few years ago they sent me to an ALS clinic, now they want to bitch about paying for it. So I guess that&#8217;s how they&#8217;re going to save money on health care that they promised &#8211; they just won&#8217;t pay for it. But back to Captain Morgan;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>With bills piling up, the Morgan\u2019s credit rating suffered, but the Army has just reopened the case.
