Reuters<\/a> reports that Panama has requested to the US State Department the extradition of their former president, Ricardo Martinelli, who is living in Miami. Authorities in Panama suspect him of corruption in regards to a software sale to the Panamanian government.<\/p>\n

Martinelli presided over an unprecedented updating of the country’s infrastructure as well as major upgrades to the Panama Canal which benefit world commerce. <\/p>\n

Might I suggest to Panama that if the State Department doesn’t respond to their request, they stage a military operation to secure their former President.
