He tells stories about his four tours of Vietnam where he lost part of his foot and part of his shoulder while he was a SEAL and Force Recon Marine. He tells of the time, as a Marine he charged up Hamburger Hill (he spells it hamberger and it was a 101st Airborne Division operation).  He wears Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart and Gunnery Sergeant patches on his vest (that&#8217;s him&#8230;in the photo above). He claims service in Vietnam from 1964 &#8211; 1968.<\/p>\n<p>Well, it turns out that Lyons did a year and change in the Navy and left as a seaman apprentice (E-2);<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?attachment_id=37806\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-37806\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Lyons-FOIA-300x294.png\" alt=\"Lyons FOIA\" width=\"300\" height=\"294\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-37806\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Lyons-FOIA-300x294.png 300w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Lyons-FOIA-339x333.png 339w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Lyons-FOIA.png 584w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Besides driving The Wall That Heals around the country, Lyons is currently a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alvfw.org\/Dept-Roster-form-12-13.htm\">VFW Post Commander<\/a> in Opp, Alabama.
