{"id":67648,"date":"2016-08-27T11:28:46","date_gmt":"2016-08-27T15:28:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=67648"},"modified":"2016-08-27T12:54:02","modified_gmt":"2016-08-27T16:54:02","slug":"yet-another-update-about-that-private-email","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=67648","title":{"rendered":"Yet Another Update About That \u201cPrivate\u201d Email . . . ."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well, this should be no surprise.\u00a0 Remember the other day that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=67599\"><em>I mentioned the release of 725 pages of email from Clintoon confidante Huma Abedin<\/em><\/a>?<\/p>\n<p>Well, they were indeed released.\u00a0 Sorta<\/p>\n<p>I say \u201csorta\u201d because it appears that roughly 250 pages \u201creleased\u201d \u2013 or over 1\/3 of the total \u2013 <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wnd.com\/2016\/08\/13-of-abedin-emails-100-redacted\/\">were heavily redacted.\u00a0 Heavily redacted, as in \u201c100%\u201d<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Why, you ask? \u00a0Good question.<\/p>\n<p>But maybe we can discern a few possibilities by looking at the 7 July exchange between the Chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, and Mr. Charles McCollough, IG for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, concerning some of the Clintoon \u201cprivate email\u201d that the ODNI IG had been asked to review prior to its release to Congress.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s a quote from that exchange, with a bit of emphasis added.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, generated the response by asking McCullough if he could provide the committee, in a secure format, the classified emails transmitted over Clinton\u2019s private email server.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI cannot provide a certain segment of them because the agency that owns the information for those emails has limited the distribution on those,\u201d McCullough explained. \u201cThey are characterizing them as OrCon, \u2018originator control,\u2019 so I can\u2019t give them to even Congress without getting the agency\u2019s permission to provide them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhich agency?\u201d Chaffetz interjected.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t say that in an open hearing sir,\u201d McCullough replied.<\/p>\n<p>. . . .<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the segment of emails that I had to have people in my office read-in to particular programs to even see these emails,\u201d McCullough responded. \u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">We didn\u2019t posses the required clearances<\/span>.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Hmm.\u00a0 Remember:\u00a0 McCullough and his office are the freaking IG for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.\u00a0 Those individuals are routinely cleared for TS-compartmented access.\u00a0 Yet at first <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">they didn&#8217;t have the requisite clearances to view the material<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Remember, this is material that was formerly stored on Clintoon&#8217;s unsecured &#8220;private&#8221; email server.\u00a0 That system was NOT authorized to store anything classified &#8211; or anything that was even Sensitive But Unclassified.\u00a0 It wasn&#8217;t supposed to be storing official government information <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">at all<\/span>.\u00a0 But it was.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, two days prior to that exchange between McCullough and\u00a0Chaffetz, FBI Director James Comey <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2016\/07\/06\/us\/politics\/hillary-clinton-fbi-email-comey.html?_r=0\">publicly declared that charges were &#8220;not appropriate&#8221;<\/a><\/em>.\u00a0 And even in light of the above later relevation by the IG for ODNI, the FBI has declined to prosecute anyone for anything related to this matter since that announcement.<\/p>\n<p>Wonderful.\u00a0 Just freaking wonderful.<\/p>\n<p>Sheesh.\u00a0 IMO this photo sums up the Administration&#8217;s (and Clintoon&#8217;s)\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <del>obviously and transparently absurd &#8220;party line&#8221;<\/del>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 &#8220;official position&#8221; concerning this whole convoluted mess perfectly.<\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/a.disquscdn.com\/uploads\/mediaembed\/images\/4155\/8799\/original.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"450\" \/><\/center>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But you wanna hear the <em>really<\/em> sad part?
