She pleaded not guilty on all counts Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Bail for the congresswoman and Simmons was set at $50,000, which they must pay only if their release terms were violated. <\/p>\n<p>A trial is expected in the fall.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rollcall.com\/news\/politics\/corrine-brown-steps-veterans-affairs-ranking-member\">Roll Call<\/a> also reports that she stepped down from her position on the committee.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Brown said that &#8220;due to House rules,&#8221; she is temporarily stepping down \u201cto avoid potential distractions from the important work of this committee,\u201d and she noted her work on homeless veterans, women\u2019s issues and healthcare.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Maybe the committee can get something done with her gone now.
