Well, we have a new claim by our \u201cillustrious regime\u201d in DC.\u00a0 They now claim that they know why their past attempts to support that mythical \u201cmoderate\u201d Syrian opposition during the Syrian Civil War failed.<\/p>\n
They now claim that US support failed because it was sabotaged.<\/p>\n
Seriously.<\/p>\n
Specifically, the latest\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 attempt to grasp at straws<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 blatant propaganda designed to shift blame<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 claim is that CIA\u00a0 aid to those mythical \u201cmoderate\u201d Syrian rebels was diverted by \u201cdirty Mideast intel\u201d<\/a>. \u00a0 <\/em>Allegedly, Jordanian intelligence redirected a substantial part of the aid intended for those mythical “moderate” rebels in Syria to Daesh.<\/p>\n They also admit that corruption within the Syrian opposition was also partly to blame.\u00a0 They had no choice but to do that; that’s already too well publicly documented.<\/p>\n Why would Jordan do that, you ask?\u00a0 Well, as the story goes:\u00a0 because \u201cJordan’s biggest enemy is anything Shia\u201d – and Daesh was opposing Iran.<\/p>\n Gee.\u00a0 A foreign nation looking out for its own interests.\u00a0 Ya think that might happen on occasion?<\/p>\n And corruption within the shadowy world of intel?\u00a0 Oh, no! That implies that intel is sometimes a \u201cdirty\u201d endeavor!\u00a0 This is big news!\u00a0 Stop the presses!<\/p>\n Hmm.\u00a0 Ya think that maybe corruption might happen on occasion too?\u00a0 Especially in the Middle East?\u00a0 Or in the shadowy world of intel?<\/p>\n At the risk of sounding “insensitive”:\u00a0 both of those possibilities are so obvious that even Stevie Wonder can see them.<\/p>\n These \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 inane tall tales<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 dubious claims by the Administration IMO show one of two things.\u00a0 First, and IMO most likely:\u00a0 they\u2019re simply dissembling in an attempt to redirect blame for failure.<\/p>\n And second:\u00a0 if by some miracle that\u2019s not the case and they’re telling the truth, then this fiasco shows a near-childlike level of incompetence and na\u00efvety.\u00a0 I mean really:\u00a0 given how “steadfastly” we’ve supported our allies recently, did they really not<\/span> expect Jordan to \u201clook out for number one\u201d?\u00a0 Were they so foolish that they disregarded the possibility of corruption in pretty much ANY organization in the Middle East?<\/p>\n And to add insult to injury:\u00a0 either way,\u00a0 they\u2019re also throwing a valuable ally \u201cunder the bus\u201d in the process.\u00a0 We seem to have gotten quite good at that lately, too.<\/p>\n GMAFB.\u00a0 If they didn\u2019t take measures to detect\/correct diversion of support to support an ally’s agenda and limit corruption, then IMO they are literally incompetent fools.\u00a0 But given what I’ve seen in the past from this Administration, I can easily believe that could well be the case.<\/p>\n Hell, given this \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 ridiculously na\u00efve and grossly incompetent clown krewe<\/a><\/em><\/span> Once again, I think my leg\u2019s wet.\u00a0 And it hasn\u2019t started raining yet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" running the show<\/del> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 Administration I personally believe both<\/span> deliberate mendacity and abysmally na\u00efve incompetence played a part in creating this latest fairy tale.\u00a0 No, I don’t have proof that’s the case.\u00a0 But it simply fits.<\/p>\n
