Aysel sends us a story about a 78-year-old homeowner in Portland, Oregon<\/a> who encountered a naked burglar in his home and promptly shot him. The burglar was still naked and laying in the homeowner’s fountain when the police arrived. They took him to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. According to an update from the Oregonian<\/a>, the wounded man was a former NFL player, Stanley Wilson II, who played three seasons with the Detroit Lions until he was injured in 2008. Apparently, he has no prior criminal record.<\/p>\n

Whitney Hughes broke into a home in Rio Dell, California<\/a> and got into an altercation with the elderly homeowner. By the time the police got there, the homeowner had shot poor Whitney in the leg. The police took him to be treated at the hospital and then deposited him in the local hoosegow on charges of burglary, elder abuse, intimidating a witness, preventing the victim from calling for assistance, and false imprisonment.<\/p>\n

In Fairview Township, Pennsylvania<\/a>, a pair of thugs beat a middle-aged couple in their home. The husband didn’t like it much and struggled with one of the criminals over the gun they brought. He was able to fire three shots at the pair and they ran off – police say that DNA evidence they left behind indicates that at least one of them are wounded which should make him easy to locate. But, I’ll say it again – you should bring your own gun to the scene of a crime and you shouldn’t depend on a criminal bringing one for you. The couple suffered superficial facial injuries, but didn’t require treatment.<\/p>\n

A man violated a protective order in Warren County, Mississippi<\/a> by forcing his way into a home. After the resident fired two warning shots which didn’t seem to slow down the criminal much, he received a final warning shot to his leg which seems to have resolved his problem and the police hauled him off to jail.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
